What if the answer is yes and this is still real?

Simulated is often heard as fake. David Chalmers’ Reality+ refuses that collapse. A virtual world can still contain real objects, real people, and lives that matter. That is a claim about what counts as real, not a proof that we are simulated.

Same world

Hands, tables, other people, pain, love

The furniture of a life. Still there, even on the simulation hypothesis.

still real

Different ontology

Implemented, not therefore illusory

What the world is made of could change. That it is a world need not.

Even if we are already in a virtual world, it can still be genuine reality.

Source notes

We might already be in a virtual world. Even if we are, virtual worlds can still be genuine reality: real objects, real events, meaningful lives.

The central thesis of Reality+. Simulated is not a synonym for fake.

Not a proof that we are simulated.
